You won&#8217;t really notice the difference, except if the permalink structure of your blog is category-dependent, and in that case the URL will look like this:</p>

<p>This is actually how this demo blog&#8217;s permalink structure is done, so you can look at your address bar for a preview of how nested categories look like. This is actually more of a WordPress function rather than a theme function, but we thought it would be great to demonstrate. At any rate, if the categories are listed within the post or static page, then you will notice the difference.</p>
